Using Cloudflare with a Domain (or Subdomain)

Requires Pro Standard or higher

If you're using or planning to use Cloudflare to proxy access to a site published to a custom domain (or subdomain):

  1. Pause proxying on all Carrd-related DNS records by clicking the orange "cloud" icon next to each one.

  2. Wait for the domain (or subdomain) to initialize and confirm the site is accessible via SSL.

  3. Set Cloudflare's SSL/TLS Encryption Mode to either Full or Full (Strict).

  4. Unpause proxying on the (previously paused) DNS records by clicking the gray "cloud" icon next to each one.

  5. You're done! The site should now be proxying through Cloudflare.
