Setting up a Buttondown Signup Form

Requires Pro Standard or higher

  1. Click Add Element

  2. Click Form to create a new Form element.

  3. Set Type to Signup, then Via Buttondown.

  4. Enter your Buttondown account's API Key, which can be found on your settings page.

  5. (Optional) Click the Fields tab and rename or toggle the form's fields.

  6. (Optional) Click the Button tab and change the form's submit button Label.

  7. (Optional) Check Collect UTM parameters to automatically include all detected UTM parameters as metadata keys. The following metadata keys will be populated if detected: utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, and utm_content.

  8. (Optional) Add metadata keys for site_url, site_title and site_form to your subscriber list to automatically record the site URL, title and unique form ID with each signup.

  9. You're done! The site should now have a fully functional Buttondown signup form.
